As part of the exhibition Bees (and the Odd Wasp) in My Bonnet, the Jackson Foundation gallery is hosting a ‘Bee Jamboree’ in association with Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Friends of the Earth on Saturday 8th July.
The programme of events include an introduction to British bees by Kurt and charity representatives, ‘Bees on your Doorstep’ – a short walk suitable for all ages accompanied by bee expert Paddy Saunders and Kurt Jackson in an easily accessible St Just location and ‘The Wild Cornish Bee Walk’ a second bee focussed nature walk led by Paddy Saunders and head of Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s local Nature Reserves Nick Marriott at Bartinney Nature Reserve, Sancreed. There is also the option of a pre-booked bee themed packed lunch from Cafe Dog and Rabbit.
All events are free but numbers are limited and booking is essential. Packed lunch available at £6 paid directly to the cafe on the day.
